You must have known me through my old pseudonym MademoiselleGloria, which I gave to myself when I created my YouTube channel.
I’ve been through stories with this one and I’ve changed the spellings, removed the x and on it …
I have often been asked, “Gloria, when you get married, will you always keep this name: Mademoiselle Gloria or will you change to Madame Gloria?” My answer was neither because I knew I was going to grow up with Mademoiselle Gloria, but that one day that nickname would change.
You saw me grow up through MademoiselleGloria, of whom I am very proud! But this one doesn’t suit me anymore. MademoiselleGloria has matured, she has become a young woman with a new philosophy.
Changing my nickname completely was an idea that was going through my head a year ago, but getting rid of it was difficult. Then it was in 2020 after the confinement, more precisely that I wanted to put this idea into action. I was really racking my brains to find a new name that sounds good, that suits me, that I like.
I made a video about it on my YouTube channel : Raïssa Gloria
This “new name” Raïssa did not come out of nowhere because in fact it is just my middle name. And I find that Raïssa Gloria looks more like me, a “pseudonym” made up of my two first names.
Little by little, I’m sure you will get used to it, it is a matter of time.
I did not want to change the name of my site MademoiselleGloria because it’s still a part of my life. So, for the best, Mademoiselle Gloria becomes Raïssa Gloria in the introduction of my videos
I leave you with my favorite quotes on the change:
“Le changement est toujours agréable.” Euripide / Oreste
“Un changement en prépare un autre. » Nicolas Machiavel
« Change is hard at first messy in the middle and gorgeous at the end”
“When things change inside you things change around you”
